Ah the internet. I often find myself wondering how I managed to exist before the internet appeared via a dial-up AOL (I think!) connection in my living room back home. Mum and Dad sat us all down for the most dreaded of events - the family meeting (basically this meant one/all of us were in trouble or Christmas/Easter/birthdays were cancelled that year or that trip to Florida was being replaced with a trip to Cornwall due to budgeting issues) - and told us that yes, we did have a nice new, shiny and very large PC for the adults to use and no, we couldn't use it without their permission.
The noise that dial-up internet made still makes me feel mildly nostalgic, only mildly though I add. It used to signal that soon I would have access to all the silly kid's games I could desire. All disguised of course as "some work I had to do for Miss so-and-so's class". However, as I got older I realised the internet was so much more. There was news, food, pictures of people doing weird things and later on videos of people doing really weird and often illegal things that NEVER happened in my home town!
Now the internet means social networking, iTunes, Youtube and blogging. I am sure all of us have at one point or another typed something into google and giggled at the suggestion list that pops up as we type. While searching for pictures for this post I typed in "girl LOL" and then clicked images - WOAH - big mistake there. It would seem these girls find getting naked worth LOLing about. Shower time must be a real hoot for them!
Anyway, I digress. The reason for this post is I clicked on the Stats section of my blog earlier today and was very amused that among obvious ones such as "30 Seconds to Mars Oman" and "blog Oman" there were gems such as "a girl turns into a mouse in Oman" (don't worry the picture to your left is not a real woman-turned-mouse!) and not one but two searches for "best place to bang expat girls in Oman". Well I only hope I managed to answer those two users questions, but I fear not.
Fellow bloggers, what amusing search terms have people searched for to come across your blogs? Please do share, I think we should have a competition for the most strange ones!

Took a while to find these but here are some of the key search words that have been used to locate my blog:
ReplyDelete-mangoes eating funny pic
-Women really do rule the world.
-garra rufas
Seriously, I am going to spend the whole day searching for a funny picture of someone eating mangos on my blog- it will be worth it.
Haha
All mine are either really normal or really dirty! There's a lot of sexual frustration out there!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is just the female bloggers being found through sexy search terms or if the guys are getting a few saucy terms of their own!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!! The things have been put in a smart manner and at the same time are also entertaining to read out. I am goose bumps in my belly to wait for the next blog from you.
